Overview of solution provided:
VGB is a family-run business operating in the wholesale and retail market for interior and exterior decorative paints, supplying over 300 retail outlets. We are also market leaders in the supply of artist material where we also having our own retail outlet in Valletta. Our success depends on being able to supply the best products to all our clients, on time and with the best service. This means that we have to have a reliable and effective IT infrastructure. Our IT system was built completely on Ian’s recommendations and is based on Microsoft Small Business Server using Microsoft Exchange and ISA 2004 for our email and internet needs. Our system is protected with professional Anti-virus and Back-Up software to ensure data integrity and security.
Our head office is linked to our retail outlet in Valletta using a point-to-point bridge connection which has made significant improvements in the way we work in that the distance between the two sites is now practically insignificant. We also use functions such as Outlook Web Access and Remote desktop which allow our directors to work from their residence or any site with internet access.
Access Point Technology also liaises with all IT related third party’s such as ISPs, hardware and software suppliers to ensure that all systems operate and integrate effectively.
